Cenk and Wes Clark Jr (yes, the son of Gen. Wesley Clark who endorsed Hillary, and yes, Wes Clark Jr. is also pro-Hillary) break down how much Hillary spent on her advisers in the context of what Obama spent.

This is provides some interesting insight IMO.

PS---You can always watch the Show Live 3-5 pm ET, with a Rolling Post Game 5-7 pm daily Monday-Friday at www.theyoungturks.com The RPG often contains political talk but also many non-political topics to lighten things up (and yes, that audio may not necessarily be work-safe).

Also, if you can't watch live, the 3-5pm portion of the show (politics) streams the rest of the day, all day right after the Post Game Show ends leading up to the initial show at 3pm.

1. LOVE the young turks...
great segment....it highlights the differences in campaign--and WHO do you want running your country?
I know which campaign I'd rather WORK for (sign me up)...but if it's about management and accountabililty, you gotta be kidding.

But it really makes me wonder who I can get one of those "consultant" gigs...LOL!!! 3.8 million in one month...hmmm.

this is the difference between a ground-up campaign and a top-down compaign.

3. Ground-up vs top-down
That is part of it. Obama has done an excellent job of creating the excitement of a ground-up campaign. it turns out that after a 40-year hiatus, there actually are millions of Americans who are starting to care about what their govermnet is doing. Maybe those torture stories, the war, and the explosion of our health care system are starting to register with the average narcissistic American.

I tell you, this young generation -- today's 18-28-year olds -- are going to make us very proud. The 2 generations in front of them have been pretty much a waste (present company excluded, of course) :)

But the point I was getting to is that there is MUCH more to this campaign than just it being a grass fire that spread. This campaign has been exceptionally well managed behind the scenes. The caucus wins are the best evidence of that. Obama's team has made all the right moves. I was not a strong supporter early on, but I am very impressed by what they have accomplished and how they have done it. These are the people I want taking on the mess that 30 years of Reagans, Bushes, and Clintons have created.

7. well said!
I guess that should be the big "take away" from this. Obama started pretty much from scratch, and built a kick ass campaign, possibly the best in history. so people who knock him for "experience" should take notice..he CAN get things done.

I signed up on both candidates web sites months ago, I get an occasional email from Clinton, but frequent emails from the Obama campaign...and things that boggle my mind. when he won SC, I got an email, personalized with my name, which said, "hey, we just won SC, I'm getting ready to go out and make my speech. If you can, turn on your TV so I can thank you". ....ok, think about how many millions of people they sent that email to within a few minutes (and I'm SO not a big contributor)...but how amazing to make us all feel involved! and different! yes, I think it is time for us all to be involved.

2. Cenk is quickly becoming on of the clearest voices
in all of the media. His clarity of thought and ability to express his ideas continues to impress me. I am so proud to have a guy on our side who is so talented. It takes a special combination of talents to go up against the blowhard authoritarian fear-mongers in the right wing media. Cenk and Keith are real stars. It helps that they are far above the Limbaughs and O'Reillys in their intellect, but that isn't enough. You have to be entertaining too, and these guys are.
