Very funny, and exactly what I suspect- our puppet masters revealing of our new King.

Bush: 'Our Long National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity Is Finally Over'

WASHINGTON, DC–Mere days from assuming the presidency and closing the door on eight years of Bill Clinton, president-elect George W. Bush assured the nation in a televised address Tuesday that "our long national nightmare of peace and prosperity is finally over."

"My fellow Americans," Bush said, "at long last, we have reached the end of the dark period in American history that will come to be known as the Clinton Era, eight long years characterized by unprecedented economic expansion, a sharp decrease in crime, and sustained peace overseas. The time has come to put all of that behind us."

Bush swore to do "everything in power" to undo the damage wrought by Clinton's two terms in office, including selling off the national parks to developers, going into massive debt to develop expensive and impractical weapons technologies, and passing sweeping budget cuts that drive the mentally ill out of hospitals and onto the street.

It a fake newspaper. I know we have it in Chicago... I don't know if it's national or not.

25. I'm surprised Comedy Central hasn't contracted this ...

Yeah, I know they have "The Daily Show" and "Colbert Report". But really those are just media critiques more than they are "fake news". Maybe they could run "Onions" in place of "The Daily Show" on Fri-Sun.

From Wikipedia:

In 2000 as the publication had broken through to the mass market, The Onion was approached by Comedy Central for a buyout that would broaden the scope and reach of The Onion's brand of satire into other forms of media. While the editorial staff was enthusiastic about the move, the deal was ultimately scuttled by then-owner Peter Haise when his negotiations with Comedy Central fell flat and alienated Comedy Central's management. Despondent over the botched deal, the editorial staff threatened to leave en masse for New York City with or without The Onion affiliation. In a compromise motivated to keep the company alive, in early 2001 the company relocated its offices to New York City.

29. Unfortunately,
it is a very real, very frightening possibility. There was a story yesterday...In the Boston Globe, I think, underlining the quiet fear his staff has regarding that.

I don't really know how they keep themselves quiet about it. In their positions, I would probably panic every time he walked out of the doors.

37. On another Onion broadcast
one of the crawls reads:

TOP U.S. COMMANDER IN IRAQ ANNOUNCES TROOP LEVELS THERE WILL GRADUALLY DECREASE OVER NEXT FIVE YEARS AS SOLDIERS DIE.

Now that's dark humor.

This Diebold video has to be the funniest thing I've seen on the Onion since Depends Ain't So Damn Dependable.

But this broadcast was too damn realistic to be funny.

The only implausible thing was that the talking heads were HONEST
in their admissions.

The lying/distortion, slant, spin happen constantly,
but honest admissions by talking heads?

Now that's a fantasy!!
LOL!!
