Tonight they do the Hillary profile. We'll see how "fair" they are to her seeing she's a Democrat. This was biased corporate media shit ! We'll also see if they run the same series on Huckabee and McCain. This was very slanted, and anyone who puts much stock in the reporting practices of the corporate "mainstream" media needs an education in honest journalism.

You call this fair reporting? Do you know nothing of corporate media bias? CBS evening news is little more than a watered down version of FOX. They've proven it time and again. Give me a break. This piece was llllllong on "negativity" and barely gave lip service to this man's honorable 20 year career in serving others. It was biased in a number of ways. It kept harping on the voting "present" thing in Illinois, which did not occur that often compared to the THOUSANDS of votes cast. That is a common practice in the Illinois system to effectively vote NO but is used for certain legal and tactical reasons. On Rezco, get over it. NOTHING, not one solitary illegal act on Obama's part has ever been alleged. This person gave money to Democrats up and down the line, INCLUDING to Bill Clinton. ALL of these politicians have donors, and unfortunately some of them turn out to be shitty donors in the end. Just ask Hillary about her connections to Norman Hsu. Also ask Hillary about the pots of money she takes from corporations right NOW and how she defends their lobbying. McCain's hands are no way near perfectly clean by any means on MANY issues, and neither are Huckabee's.

in all this mess. I really wish there was someone we could count on to do an honest investigative report on Obama. Hillary's past has already been picked to pieces and I agree, it isn't that pretty. Seems like politics don't really attract people of the highest caliber all that often. I'm not particularly interested in McCain as that bunch is not attractive to me in any way.

6. You're asking politicians to be perfect human beings???

None of us are perfect human beings, and we can't expect, nor should we expect, our politicians to be perfect human beings. What we can expect is for them to be GOOD human beings who truly care inside and have the best intentions in addition to other important attributes. I don't think people are so attracted to Obama because they think he's perfect. They are attracted to this candidacy because he can connect well to people, because overall he has a great personal story, he's very smart and talented, and because he is new with a very appealing message of change and turning the page to a new post-Bush era of national unity. I certainly don't think he's perfect nor that everything he's ever done is perfect, but he offers a real hope, vision, and chance for something new and better in a way that we don't see in Hillary given her polarizing approaches and baggage.
People want something new, and that is GOOD. Obama and Hillary are VERY close on the issues and both are plenty experienced. But Obama offers many new and fresh qualities that Hillary simply doesn't possess.
