Apparently, according to Ms Hutchinson, it's okay to express bigotry as long as you "do lots of good things" and "have a large following supportive of Israel".

3. More basic question. Why would anybody of faith
support any of those bastards? These guys have just killed anywhere from 100,000 to 1,000,000 people in Iraq, depending on whose numbers you believe -- and all for no good reason at all. How can anybody square that with the teachings of Jesus or the tenets of any other major belief system?

19. Hagee hates anyone that doesn't give him money.
Kay Bailey Hutchison knows that Hagee is a first class wanker that will say anything for a buck.

Our names are Kay and John Hagee.
We are like brother & sister.
But we know that we're just fucking bleeping sheep for Mr. McCain.

11. The real story here is a BIG NEWS NETWORK will not let this story die. CNN despises McCain.
Edited on Mon Mar-03-08 01:16 AM by McCamy Taylor
This is all part of the Cable Wars, which I have posted about in my journals. With ABC and CNN against him, McCain goes into this election severely handicapped. I still do not understand why they did not select Romney.

Oh, and it is McCain's own fault, so no one feel sorry for him. He did not have to be a crooked politician, and he did not have to mess around with lobbyists.

14. By definition, all Protestants consider the Catholic Church to be a false cult.
As far as I understand it, the whole point of the reformation and the invention of protestantism was based on a rejection of the authority of the Pope and the Vatican and effectively denouncing the Catholic Church and refuting its claim to be the "one true church".

Therefore ALL Protestants disagree with the main beliefs of the Catholic Church like the idea that the Pope is the "Holy Father" who has a special relationship with God.

Don't blame me. I'm a rationalist. I believe that ALL the religions are equally wrong. B-)

15. When she says "John Hagee has a large following", she's saying...
... that she dare not speak ill of him. That following she speaks of is rooted in Texas and they would likely "burn her at the Stake" for condemning his remarks.

The quote Blitzer is referencing is dwarfed by some of his other outrageous statements.

17. the difference between McCain situation and Obama's
McCain is a Republican

and Obama is a democrat

Republicans can do no wrong and if they get bad endorsements they can give a weak repudiation and disagree with the hateful things that those who endorse them say

Democrats, when they get endorsements from hatefilled people, must denounce and reject them.
