Hello Obama group!

After watching the debate last night this Edwards supporter will now vote for Obama. My son was an Edwards guy too and he is now in the Obama camp.
I was very disappointed that Edwards dropped out before we got our chance to vote for him next Tuesday, we really believed in him from the beginning. I don't think that he or Elizabeth would want us to vote for him now even though he will still be on the ballot. Senator Clinton is my senator and in many ways if she won it would be good for NY, I think she has a good understanding of the problems the state faces. We would likely, also, get to have RFK jr as a Senator which would be wonderful. We decided on Obama because we felt that it would give us all a new start without the divisiveness of the past. We really do need someone who can approach things in new ways and he will bring in so many new young people. It's time to start passing on that torch to a new generation, stop living in the past and face the future with the hope I feel he can give us. We need the hope if America can ever reclaim its greatness. His statements on the war were also a very decisive factor, his judgement was right on and not political. He trusted himself to make that decision at a time when it was not popular. He has a good handle on foreign policy.

Thanks for stopping by and supporting Obama. I agree with you that how Obama talked about Iraq gave him a big edge over Hillary.

I feel the same way about my vote for Obama, and I have to say I'm truly moved by what you express here, which I have heard expressed in the same yearning way by big political names and ordinary voters like us alike.

It's the last thing I expected in this election -- the idea that we might have this amazing chance to not just spend the next four years cleaning up after the neocons (though we will be doing that, and for longer than four years, alas!) but to actually find a way to heal our wounds and become a united country again, become a respected nation in the world again.
