I have no doubt I'll be supporting and voting for him in the 2012 primary election and doing the same in the general election. President Obama inherited a really shitty situation but I have confidence for the future with him at the helm.

2. I really hope he doesn't run again..

This country doesn't deserve him..

He's appreciated and loved in all other countries except here...I am often asked about him in my travels, and told how lucky we are..

I hope he spends some quality time with his family

I never seen so much vile things and lack of respect of a President..

3. That's the thing that gets me, too
This is not like the situation with Bush who was absolutely loathed by the entire world except for a blind few here in America.

This is actually the exact opposite -- Obama is respected and admired by the entire world, except for a blind few here in America. (And I'm sure that the rulers of totalitarian locales aren't all that crazy about him either.) It makes no sense. And don't even get me started on the blatant disrespect shown to this man. There is a fundamental difference between showing disagreement and disrespect. Obama has not done one thing to deserve the disrespect he's gotten -- from the right OR the left.

5. I hear you...
I sometimes feel the same way. We finally have decent people in the White House, after 8 yrs of sheer hell and the creeps in this country spit on him. It's truly disgusting.

7. Despite what I read elsewhere, my opinion remains high.
The polls that are posted here at DU from time to time bear out the fact that I'm among the vast majority of Dems who think as I do.

:kick: Seems they yearn of neocon rule not appreciating at the time having the majority(in whitehouse, congress). If they didn't agree on every issue/their issue then we had to get them out. We eat our own.

9. Gallup weekly tracking poll info
"According to Gallup's latest weekly tracking poll, 81 percent of self-identified Democrats give Obama a positive job approval rating. Among liberal Democrats, who are supposedly the most likely to rebel, the number rises to 85 percent."

10. Yes he is but so many don't seem to realize that. They want their way and they want it now.
