Question regarding the change to "General Election" mode

Up to now things have been organized by the great people at Obama For America, but I was told that the DNC will be taking over the organizational duties. I hope that those who got Obama this far will be in charge (or in leadership positions) in the General Election process. My local Democratic Party machine was anemic during the primary and I hope that they get their act together- hell I may go try to work for them if they have their shit together, or try to run them if they dont.

Any word or news about the conversion from Primary campaign to General would be appreciated.

1. No, the campaign runs its own election

The DNC provides infrastructure, fundraising, an instant national coordination. But the campaign does it too, separately. We won't lose the ground game Obama put together, that would be a tragedy. Of course, if you live in Arizona, you wouldn't likely get as much from the Obama campaign as if you were in PA, for instance.
