Does anyone know who the SD paper eventually endorsed?
Sen. Clinton's historical reference to RFK took place during an interview with the Sioux Falls Argus Leader editorial board. Sen. Obama met with them a week earlier. At that point they were searching for the best candidate to back.

From what I can find, they endorsed Bush in 2004. Anyone know if they decided to back Clinton, Obama or McCain?

1. Oh well, it's a small paper but interesting because
Someone noted there's been a reverse effect of newspaper endorsements. When a candidate has received the endorsement of a major newspaper in a primary, they have tended to lose.

"CBS News political reporter Fernando Suarez thinks that may be the case. He's making the interesting argument that, with only two big exceptions, both Clinton and Obama tend to lose the state primaries where they win the endorsement of the most influential local newspapers."
