He's gutting the fish to get at its stinking rotting head. It is freaking brilliant. By the time he's done disemboweling this noxious creature, they'll have no way to explain away the stench--none of them--not the WH, the Congress, or the media.

2. I have always heard that that is what he does best
and I have never lost faith in his ability to do just that either. His record is good. I will give him the time and the tools to do what he does so well.

Go Fitz, GO!

3. Precisely.
Fitz is known for methodical, inexorable focus. When he takes a case to court, he HAS it. And, as so many have pointed out, he just hates being lied to.

8. ABSOLUTELY! Just ask my EX Governor, George Ryan!
:bounce: CONVICTED by Fitz and found guilty on all 18 counts of steering state business to cronies for bribes, of gutting corruption-fighting efforts to protect political fundraising and of misusing state resources for political gain.:bounce:

7. Absolutely! Pisses me off when the pundits try and pin him as
being politically opportunistic. He is in no way anything resembling Starr. He's not a Republican. He's not a Democrat. He doesn't view the law and doing his job in any political context.

9. I'm in the miniority
And while I find the trial interesting, I think it's essentially meaningless. The only outcome that can come of it is for I. Scooter Libby to go to prison. Big fucking deal. It's not going to get Cheney or Bush indicted for anytihing. Or Rove. It's not even going to get Tim Russert fired. It's meaningless. Everything we hung on every snippet for the last few years is all true. It's all there in the trial. We already KNOW all of this shit. But knowing it and even the media knowing it isn't going to change anything. There is no justice unless Rove and Cheney and Bush pay for this one instance alone-a traitorous act. I see no justice coming from this. That one indictment Fitz got is it.

10. Unfortunately, noone I've spoken to knows anything about this.
For those of us who are paying attention, he's doing a hell of a job.
