The Kuciniches are campaigning in Maine and New Hampshire this weekend

CLEVELAND OH – Congressman and Democratic Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich, the only Presidential contender who has voted against every authorization and funding appropriation for the war in Iraq since 2002, will kick off the New England leg of his campaign with a series of appearances and events beginning Friday in Maine and continuing Saturday and Sunday in New Hampshire.

Kucinich, (D-OH), who recently unveiled a 12-point strategy to end the war and bring U.S. troops home, is also chairman of the newly created Domestic Policy Subcommittee of the Government Reform Committee. His subcommittee’s jurisdiction will include labor, pensions, energy, environment, telecommunications, health care, anti-trust, Native Americans, housing, infrastructure, and election integrity, among others.

FRIDAY, Feb. 2, Portland (ME):

6 p.m.: Community Television Network’s “WE THE PEOPLE” show, live studio audience at CTN Channel 4, 516 Congress Street.

7 p.m.: Reception, 81 Free Street, a short walk from the television studio.

8 p.m.: Public Forum and Discussion Group, 81 Free Street.

SATURDAY, Feb. 3, Keene (NH):

8 a.m.: WSCA, Portsmouth Community Radio.

Noon to 1 p.m.: Keene City Democrats and Cheshire County Democrats, 2 Eagle Court.

1:30 p.m.: Keene Ice and Snow Festival, Main Street.

3:30 p.m.: Swing the Vote Steering Committee.

7 p.m.: Mothers Uniting, Keene UU Church, 69 Washington Street.

SUNDAY, Feb. 4, Portsmouth (NH):

10:30 a.m.: Democracy for New Hampshire, Atlantic Media offices, 125 Brewery Lane, Suite 321.

Noon to 1 p.m.: RiverRun Books, 20 Congress Street, Portsmouth.

1:30 p.m.: Strafford County Democrats, Dover Public Library, 73 Locust Street, Dover.

3:30 to 5 p.m.: Governor’s Inn, 78 Wakefield Street, Rochester.

6 p.m.: Private reception.

Kucinich, who will be accompanied by his wife, Elizabeth, also has a number of scheduled news media interviews before and after various events.
