5. Yep, and from what I've heard, he's organized to the point where
he could just toss his hat in the ring and have his "troops" up and running almost immediately. It needs to be before February, though, because California is planning on moving up its primary (his name needs to be on that ballot!).

Hillary apparently is sucking up tons of money from the big donors. Could Al make up enough ground financially to run an effective campaign?

;) I have heard he can, but she will be tough to compete with financially, regardless.

2. When he picks up his Nobel Prize. After his Oscar.
Al's got it going along the lines of awards. Unlike The Chimp.

6. Announcing at either speech would be a bad idea
It will make him look too self-centered. I personally don't think he will run unless something in the order of a draft persuades him.

13. Now why did I read that as...?
"I'd rather see him signing boobs." Which does happen at the Super Bowl, I'm sure. However, I think most Al Gore fans probably have a little more self-respect than that.....

3. During his Nobel Prize acceptance speech.
Visualize. At a minimum, the prize money would be good for a campaign-funcding kick-start. ;)

right away we would be treated to opinion after opinion about how he subverted one of the highest honors a person can be bestowed in this world into a cheap trampoline to polical power. I would hate it. I think the Nobel Committee would hate it. I think the world would hate it. He would immediately negate the value of the honor if he did this. He would never be that dumb. He should just slowly bask in his well-earned world admiration. Then , when the time is right , he can declare himself a candidate. (as I earnestly pray every day he will)

he would not have had the time to make his award winning documentary - "An Inconvenient Truth"! Instead, he might have been able to hamper the global warming process. Who knows???
