Scarborough just said, "for the very latest in the coming war with Iran"
before he went to a commercial break. My head is spinning. Is it that simple? Is it done?

3. One way or another....
BushCo would prefer to saber rattle Iran into making the first move...

If that fails, BushCo will make it seem Iran made the first move...

7. Yup, they're doing that already
"Hey, Iranians are attacking us in Iraq." That's how it all starts out. They're going to claim that the Iranians are the aggressors and we're just fighting back.

it's just one more reason not to be in Iraq.

12. Ain't it always the way?
Hard to get domestic support any other way.

Every aggressor army for the last century set out on a war of Defense.

4. of course it is. we had a coup d'etat in 2000
congress is NOT serious about stopping bush. They can't even agree on a NON BINDING resolution that adding troops in Iraq is a bad idea.

Its done.

get used to it.

the neocons have stolen our entire government and they are driving it off a cliff.

Why people on DU don't realize this, i will never ever know

18. So Where Does That Leave Our Country?
I had renewed hope after November, but perhaps it's too late to save our country.

Or the world for that matter.

If it's truly that bad, then we might as well enjoy ourselves while we can, 'cause it's only gonna get worse.

5. Have you seen anybody trying to stop it? It's pretty much all set to go.
It may be down to a matter of weeks before the bombs start raining down on Iran. Most of the serious discussion I've been reading puts it at April at the very latest, but many think it could happen much sooner.

Sadly, that's how I feel right now. Nothing is going to stop Bushco from furthering their agenda. Nothing.

13. Yeah, it's done.
I'm still going to fight it.

But they have every intention of doing it. And they'll use 4th generation nukes . . . and the neocon fuck-ups actually think they can get away with it. They've never fucked-up on this big a scale. But here it comes.

Meanwhile, people discuss "election '08" incessantly, as if life is just going to go on. Talk about a waste of time and energy. At least those of us protesting the war have some sense of the big picture.

You said it. It's been driving me nuts. Try keeping a post about the coming war on Iran up top in GD -- can't be done, everyone wants to natter on about the shiny object of the day. Meanwhile, the bushco war machine is hurtling forward to its next blood feast.

But what REALLY matters is whether Biden insulted Obama...

Yet, there are some of us here who have clearly read Orwell. And listened to Dylan's and Prine's and CSNY's lyrics. And Shakespeare . . . for there is the real key into understanding this bloodthirsty cabal. (Also the key into understanding the "shiny-object-crowd") ;)

I think we're going to start using the hide thread function soon, sw.

I wonder if they could grasp the following . . . probably not.

"Our revels now are ended. These our actors,
As I foretold you, were all spirits and
are melted into air, into thin air:
And, like the baseless fabric of this vision,
The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the great globe itself,
Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve
And, like this unsubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff
As dreams are made on, and our little life
Is rounded with a
Sleep."

The Tempest, Act IV

It was around that time that I started seeing graphics that said "Showdown with Iraq" or some other bullshit.

Worse things than bombing Iran will happen in the next 2 years, unless Pelosi and Reid can be convinced to do the plainly moral thing and start impeachment proceedings.
