3. Yeah but you see there's something you're forgetting

vice president Cheney can declassify anything on his own authority without checking with President Bush or filing any paperwork. So it would appear that he broke the law in disclosing Valerie Plame's identity, but in reality an action which would have meant that Cheney was breaking the law, before he did it, became an action which was no longer illegal in the same instant that he broke the law forbidding it. The law was in no way broken and isn't broken now, it just melts away before the touch of Cheney's hand and coagulates again in his wake, creating a kind of negative image of Dick Cheney's passage through space and time. The law stays intact at all times but bends itself around him.
Pure Evil creates a kind of moving void in the dimensions in which the law can exist. Law flows away from Dick Cheney like oil from water.
