I am sitting here writing code, tell me if this makes any sense at all (about bush/et al)

[The Straight Story]

So the company is letting me work from home now, and I am moving soon to CA. I have been working on this project for about a month and today found out a ton of the requirements have changed.

Poor communication out of the gate by people. I have done a lot this month - from a sql back end and design, to coding, to web page design, to reverse engineering someone else's work etc. And I was stoked as I was ready to demo all this in a meeting today (which got canceled at last minute as some people were stuck in airports and could not log in and see my presentation).

To me, when you have your product idea you sit down and write up a requirement document, have a couple meetings, hammer out details, then you code, test, make adjustments, and off you go.

But in this case it was all ass backwards in a lot of ways with a lot of different people changing things over time.

So anyway.....here before us is a HUGE government, led by one fucked up project manager/decider. Instead of presenting a vision and laying out how to get there he keeps switching things around and wondering why the hell nothing ever gets done - even though people are working 12 hour days on salary and busting their asses.

Instead of listening to the people who will be doing the work/coding, he makes the decisions based on his own ideals (which fluctuate) and then wonder why we and he are in the mess we are in.

That SOB has been president for going on 7 years now - and every project has been a fuck up.

You said it mr. bush - YOU are the decider. And therefore the blame is at your feet, not the people out there trying their best to do their jobs.

YOU sent troops into battle, and they beat both the taliban and iraq in short order - they proved they could get the job done. But then...well, it all went downhill from there didn't it???

I am the little guy on the totem pole trying my best to make the vision of the people up the chain a reality, for the better of the company. Tonight I put the brakes on anymore changes and I will make this thing run the best way, the way it should. And they will be happy with it because I won't give them an out.

We all stand up at some time when faced with such situations. And I will tell you mr. bush that the left has been standing up to you from day 1 - and now we have the power. You need US for final approver now in congress. You went from the decider to negotiator because you had no clear plan or leadership. You just pissed around and kept wanting people to magically make something work, never EVER understanding what it took to make it work because you are no 'techie' as it were.

You lost finally, sad thing is you are still too damn dumb to see it.
