$64,000 question for Floridians:
Will your new governor have as much sway as your former governor now that you've experienced a horrific natural disaster? Think the President will be handing out bottled water this time?

Enquiring minds want to know.

1. Not an election year in a battle ground State.
And his name is no longer Bush. So we shall see. Crist is supposed to give a live press conference around 10:30am. Will be interesting to see.

2. I've been watching Alison Stewart (I really like her and think
she's the best female on MSNBC).
I'm really sorry about the tornado problems in Florida, but color me cynical, but I wonder how long it will take Shrub and company to send assistance when requested.
Oh, yeah, there's a new governor in town. :sarcasm: I wonder if that will make any difference since it's not Jeb.
Please don't get me wrong, I'm terribly sorry about what has happened to the people affected in Florida, but I'm still bitter about Katrina.

5. Well, he's still a Republican...
so just like Haley Barbour, he's going to get help.

6. Crist has been okay so far.
No overtly subhuman activity. He's giving lip service to election reform. Of course those things are always traps that you don't find out about until later, but Crist seems fairly bipartisan. And you can definately see that he's no Jeb. Of course, I once considered McCain a great presidential candidate, so who can say?

8. Well, sure, if you want to set the bar low, Jeb did do better...
However, saying the man was somewhat competent (at best) is really not that great a compliment.

9. No. FEMA had already turned down emergency status for Volusia
County for another destructive, though less spectacular, tornado just last week.

10. I am wondering if these are some of the same people who...
said that the people who were affected by Hurricane Katrina got what they deserved.
