What does the "I" in I. Lewis Libby stand for?
While reading some of the testimony from yesterday, I noticed that the FBI agent stated that it took them a long time to get Scooter to reveal what it stood for. The defense attorney then stated that he still didn't know what it stood for. Any thoughts?

It was just outside the Frontier Deli-
When Oiving got it-three slugs in the belly

He was sitting there, spinning his gun around
When "Butterfingers" Oiving gunned himself down
Big Oiving
Big dumb dumb Oiving
Big dumb bumb dead Oiving-

The one hundred forty second fastest gun
In the west!

24. Thanks. I sort of stole it
But I can't remember who said it. Some top news producer was retiring, and criticized the current media, saying that journalists were too afraid to upset the people they were reporting on. He said that true journalism should upset someone--when you report what they want you to, you aren't reporting, you're advertising for them.

I once had a professor pick on my name in class. He said "Youd think once you hit 18, you'd say 'That's it, no more Joby!'" he apologized immediately afterwards, but still...

12. ever heard of Wikipedia? or Google?
sheesh.

You only have the greatest research tool ever invented at your fingertips, yet you still find it necessary to post a blind question on a board. The effort it took to start this thread is 3 times that of simply "sccoter libby bio" in Google and clicking the first link.

30. "Irve" or "Irving".
The sources are mixed, and some seem to assume that "Irve" is merely a shortened form of "Irving." That's possible, but not necessarily the case.

My brother's first name is "Fred", but numerous people assume (and say) his full name is "Fredrick". They're wrong, I've seen his birth certificate. I think his high school diploma even has it wrong. The Air Force knew him as "Fred A. ...", and they were wrong; he has no middle name or initial--the guy who signed him up had to put *something* in for his middle initial, my brother said there was none, so the guy wrote in "A." ... and it stuck.

I haven't heard anybody saying they've seen Libby's birth certificate or citing Libby himself. So, for now, the answer I give for Libby's first name is "Irve" or "Irving".
