Ladies and Gentlemen: Our Opponent

FRED THOMPSON IS adding more big-name policy talent as his testing-the-waters committee continues to grow into a real presidential campaign. Among the new additions: Mark Esper, national security adviser to former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist; Joel Shin, a top policy staffer on Bush-Cheney 2000; and Elizabeth Cheney, a former top official in the State Department's Near East and South Asia department. http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/013/764cbfmo.asp

Given the poll's margin of error of plus or minus five percentage points, those figures put Giuliani and Thompson in a statistical tie. http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=070612125205.vqhclksz&show_article=1

3. I don't know...
I think Thompson would do about as well in the general election as Dick Cheney would do if he were to run. He can't win. I'm thinking the GOP candidate will be Romney.

8. He thinks that Valley Forge was an important battle in the Revolutionary War,
equating it to the Alamo. I guess none of his staff had the heart to tell him that Valley Forge was a winter training camp, not a battle. Can't wait for more of his drivel.

11. I love that he JUST said it too. It wasn't an ignorant remark
from 2003 about how we had to take Saddam out (ala HRC). I don't even think the most rightwing idiots would make that remark now.
