1. These clueless republican representatives need to check back with their constituents
and discover that they SUPPORT Senator Warner's Position.

I've never been pleased with Warner as one of my Senators representing the State of Virginia. However, I've never questioned his genuineness and lack of corruptibility. I often don't like his positions, but as a conservative, John Warner(R-VA) walks the walk.

2. If the NIE today is mostly right, it seems as if the GOP blockers here
are mostly wrong.

Footage of them railing against the Resolution is not going to do the troops any good, and it won't do the GOP any good in the 08 elections.

The Republican blockers are pig-headed, short-sighted, and damned dumb.

Go, Democrats.

3. And in other breaking news
A number of Republican Senators got up this morning to find that the air had been let out of their automobile tires overnight. (I'm trying my luck at clairvoyancy).

4. Warner is the new Specter.
Not that the Specter is no longer the Specter.

But Warner is there to play a game, not to do the right thing. End result: Bush not only escalates, but de-funding is off the table.

Warner wins overwhelmingly, just like Specter.

6. Keep goin', Republics. Pushing people into the maw of the war juggernaut.
A good way to make your party so hated that you become extinct on the political landscape.
