I would like to make this correction. The chimp's approval rating among our members is 0.08%. And who is doing that approving? It's the guys that got hit in the head too many times. Beware of cheap helmets. ;-)

There's a story behind why we're called that in Minnesota, but I don't know what it is.

12. Farmer-Labor Party was a separate party

It was a quasi-Socialist party that dominated state government for a few decades in the middle of the century. They elected several governors, senators, and state reps. In the postwar era, its power began to fade and it became clear that the the left was splitting its votes between Democrats and Farmer-Labor candidates, enabling Republicans to win. So the state Democratic Party and the Farmer-Labor Party merged to form the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party of Minnesota.

7. I caught bits of talk on CNN while putzing around the house.

Dumbya's been invited to a retreat with Congressional Democrats (here in MN I'm just used to saying DFL), and it was brought up how he would be facing a hostile audience. Someone mentioned that his approval rating among Democratic voters in the nation is 8%, and I thought that was about 8% too high.
