Teacher Accused of Having Sex With Student

A local charter school teacher arrested Friday is accused of having sexual relations with a 13-year-old student.

Investigators from the Special Victims Bureau said the elementary school teacher met the girl at a west side pool over the summer. The two are believed to have then exchanged phone numbers and began a six-month sexual relationship.

Circle's neighbor told 10TV he never witnessed anything that appeared inappropriate.

Like a parent with his daughter or son. I didn't see anything out of line, he said in characterizing what he saw.

But looking back, he said he realizes he was wrong.

I'm not a nosy neighbor. I guess I should have been, but I was not.

It's just sick strange. I'm sick and sad for the little girl.

I am not condoning what the teacher did. I am just trying to warn all of you parents of your responsibility. As a father of two boys and a girl I have a little experience.
