Publicans really are STOOpid. Two choices, stay forever or "precipitous" withdrawal. They lack
both imagination and intelligence. Let the Dems take charge, we can come up with all kinds of solutions, many ways to skin a cat, but only if you apply brain power and look for real solutions instead or sticking to ideology and talking points. The real reason is of course, Publicans are the monkey with their hand in the jar holding onto the oil.

1. Either-Or thinking is regressive and dangerously obsolete.
Too bad it is so frequently characterized by corporate media as "strength".

The time has come for the human mind to evolve to the next step up in it's natural development. I think there is pretty good evidence that that next step will be highly characterized by Synthesis, rather than by false dichotomies.

2. Publicans have managed to frame the debate as either or. Time for Dems to call them on
the B.S. and point out how limited and STOOpid that kind of thinking is.

3. Bush was trying to convince the Dems that Iraq was not an open-ended
situation ... but didn't he say before that Iraq is something that other PRESIDENTS (emphasis on plural) would have to deal with? Minimum 5 years after he's out of office ... if a Dem gets in, they will crucify the Dem because he/she cannot get out of Iraq without "breaking a few eggs" - which will be reported as absolute and utter chaos which, co-incidentally, started 1/21/2009 ...

4. It's all about the oil.
The US Army is sitting on top of the Iraqi oil reserves, therefore, the US controls the Iraqi oil. They used our Army to manipulate oil prices. Worked out real well for them and for other profiteers like Halliburton. Iraq is their goose that lays golden eggs and they will not give it up easily.
