Former Alabama Governor Siegelman (D) Sentenced To 88 Months In Prison

I don't have a link for this yet. It was just announced on local television.

This was political persecution all the way, orchestrated by Karl Rove.

EDIT: Here's streaming video:

EDIT: Former HealthSouth CEO sentenced to 82 months.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC-TV MyFoxAL.com) -- A federal judge sentenced former HealthSouth CEO Richard Scrushy and former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman to prison Thursday for bribery, mail fraud and related charges in their 2005 government corruption case.

U.S. District Judge Mark Fuller handed down the verdict after hearing three days of testimony from lawyers and prosecutors.

Former Gov. Don Siegelman has been sentenced to 88 months in prison.
Earlier Thursday, Fuller rejected a request by Siegelman's attorneys to reduce the guidelines and instead adopted arguments from prosecutors that the possible sentence should be longer than what's proposed in the
guidelines, saying Siegelman's actions damaged the public's confidence in state government.
