6. Making Chris Wallace sound dumb....
isn't all that difficult. Several people lately have handed him his ass.

My question is... Why do any Dems appear on Fux? Fox has consistently screwed over any guest left of Hitler and then selectively edited what guests said in later reports on the interview.

Nobody gets a fair shot on Faux, so why help them fill air time? Let those assholes talk to each other, and the morons who watch them will get bored without some fresh Dem meat to grind. God knows nobody is gonna convert those True Believers.

8. By appearing on FixedNewsNutwork, the zombies see that the DEMs have a real good guy in Webb.
Otherwise, the average Fox viewer might never see or hear about a good Democratic leader.

IMFO, once they see that they've been lied to by the pukes all these years, the True Believers will abandon the GOP ship.

12. True believers..
by definition, will believe beyond what is normal.

I respectfully disagree that they will see that they've been lied to. They've got religion and politics and their whole world view tied up in this asshole, so I don't believe they'll wise up.

I thought Jim did a great job, refusing to allow Wallace to trot out his FoxNoise talking points bullshit.

on edit: senility

5. ALL RIGHT! Wallace said Webb was combative because
of his actionswehn he met the Prez at the WH luncheon. Webb said "We need more decency in Gov't, andin THAT instance, I DON'T BELIEVE THE LACK OF DECENCY WAS MINE!"

What great words to end the interview!

9. Webb was excellent...great responses
About tax hikes, he explained, no tax increase for those on a salary but corporations deserve to pay more taxes. He explained that companies that move their plant offshore pay no taxes on profits made there and this is not fair.

About being combative, he explained that he does strongly defend points that he believes in. Regarding the run in with *, he ended by stating that he (Webb) was not the one being impolite, meaning that * was impolite when he stated...that's not what I asked you! It was a great end to the interview.

A great 15 minutes by a confident, knowledgeable Democrat who is not afraid to stand up to power. This video will probably show up soon and I'd recommend watching it.

I agree with the earlier comment that Democrats who are articulate can win over some voters by appearing on faux news. Webb held his own against Chris Wallace as well as anyone I'd seen. No talking points, just clear, strong positions. Webb has to have some major role in the 2008 election.

10. Jim Webb kicked ASS!
Dang he was great! And the last question--designed by Wallace as a gotcha--was nailed by Webb. I was very impressed with his responses. And Lindsey Graham was nothing in comparison.

18. Wallace tried to keep him from answering -
Wallace would throw out what weren't necessarily questions but rather inflammatory remarks and when Webb would try to explain or counter, Wallace would interrupt him and try to control Webb's responses. Webb handled it well; at one point interrupting back (calmly) and shutting up Wallace. I was impressed by Webb's handling of the interview and his knowledge about a variety of subjects. He did a good job in a hostile environment.

there is something about Webb and Tester, the take no bullshit senators, not that we don't have some really good democrats in there already but both of these men are a different cut.
