About that Kucinich / Bush handshake at the SOTU...
http://www.seacoastonline.com/news/limb/020407limb.htm
While watching on television the recent State of the Union speech, I noticed how Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, had a lengthy handshake with and was talking to President Bush... was curious enough to call the six-term congressman from the Cleveland area and ask him about the conversation.

"I told him about my 12-point plan to bring the troops home and stabilize Iraq," Kucinich explained. "I said, If you need help, give me a call.' "

what did Bush say to Kucinich at the State of the Union?

According to Kucinich, it was straight from the heart.

"'Dennis, I know you love America. We both love America.' "

more from the article

...as the war drums began beating in 2002, like a good student, he<Kucinich> began doing his homework. "I saw a lot information from a number of sources that was available for anyone to see."...he did manage, he told me, to rally some support among Democrats in the House to vote against war authorization.

"It was a fabric of lies that pulled the American people into supporting the war,"

"This was the most important vote we were going to make in our lifetimes, and we didn't even debate it in our caucus," Kucinich said.

"It wasn't just a mistake. Any member could have done the research," Kucinich said. "A critical moment was at hand and most failed the test. They didn't do the right thing."...We're still taking a position of not challenging the president."

2. The difference being the following....
...one was telling the truth the other was lying. I'll leave it up to everyone's good judgement to figure out who:

"I told him about my 12-point plan to bring the troops home and stabilize Iraq," Kucinich explained. "I said, If you need help, give me a call.' "

what did Bush say to Kucinich at the State of the Union?

7. But The Fact That Kucinich Thinks It
was straight from the heart bothers me. He should know Bush doesn't have one by now.

8. I know, that is a little strange
I guess he was trying to be nice but there is no way in hell I believe Bush loves America.
He loves to run America into the ground, and laugh his ass off while his buddies steal the surplus and put us into the largest debt ever.

3. Kucinich is right.
Did not even have to be in Congress. I read the International press in 02 and I a humble citizen knew more than Bush did and all I did was read the British press.

9. Will they pass the test on Iran?
"It wasn't just a mistake. Any member could have done the research," Kucinich said. "A critical moment was at hand and most failed the test."

Bush is trying the same thing with Iran, and many Democrats are falling for it all over again.
