So I got a thank you note from one of the troops
we have sent care packages too.

It warms the heart to hear from them... even if I never expect it.

1. If you want to do something for the troops,
this is a good way. We've made care packages as well. Beats yellow magnets.

2. Unlesss... them yellow magnets are sold by the USO
otherwise... them are feel good mommy devices.

We saw some sold by the USO at base... we thought about it, we instead put the three bucks into the donation box

3. I guess you're right.
Most of the ones I've seen though have come from state license plate offices and such.

I actually heard a marine say "what's up with the magnets?. That's not supporting us". Then he went on to say people were uninformed and clueless about what was going on over there. That stuck in my mind and I'm always reminded of that when I see them. I'm sure many people have good intentions with them while others just use them to express their support for bush.
