John Boehner call his colleagues "wimps" about Iraq.
<snip>
There was no evidence of that _ and the House GOP leader, Rep. John Boehner of Ohio, was biting in his criticism of Republicans who have parted company with Bush on the war. "Wimps," he called them in closed-door comments confirmed by an aide.

This is the same guy who breaks down and cries at least once a month:

John Boehner Breaks Down Again, Weeps Openly On House Floor During Iraq Debate

Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) broke down on the House floor today, sobbing uncontrollably as he urged his colleagues to vote in favor of the $100 billion Iraq war spending bill.

“Members on both sides of the aisle feel differently about our mission in Iraq and our chances of success there,” Boehner said, pausing to compose himself. As he continued, Boehner began to weep openly, crying out: “After 3,000 of our fellow citizens died at the hands of these terrorists, when are we going to stand up and take them on? When are we going to defeat them?” Watch it:
http://thinkprogress.org/2007/05/24/boehner-weeps-again/
Boehner needs to channel his bottled up emotions towards a more worthy end — changing the course in Iraq rather than defending the status quo. Despite expressing limited patience and angst over Bush’s Iraq strategy, Boehner has been unable to put principle above party and demand a change in course.

In mid-February Boehner wept as he spoke about the need for a “solemn debate.” He then went to the House floor and proclaimed that escalation opponents were taking the “bait” of al Qaeda and using Iraq to “divide us here at home.”

A flashback to his last breakdown:

2. He is comparing
their wimpishness to the heroic war records of George W. Bush and Richard Cheney. It may seem unfair to you -- almost like being compared to a John Wayne movie -- but the truth is that you can't name a single democrat in Washington with a record that compares with Cheney's in the 'Nam era. Go ahead and try. I dare ya. I double dare ya.

5. Oh and that subject:
Boehner was born in Reading, Ohio, into a large Roman Catholic family, and has 11 siblings. He attended Moeller High School. During the Vietnam War, he enlisted in the Navy. He was discharged after eight weeks of training because of a bad back.

7. There are times
when I think back to 2004, and the people who questioned Senator Kerry's record, but ignored the Bush/Cheney Vietnam experience. Listening to a jackass like Boehner reminds me of that business.

13. Truer words were never spoken, Trumad...
I'll never forgive the corporate media for even allowing the Swift Boat Liars a platform during August of 2004. The crap they were throwing around was, IMO, nothing short of slander.

6. Scarborough: best response ever.
Joe Scarborough on tee-vee about 20 min ago (I'm paraphrasing, but this is what he said).

We should stay in Iraq until we all die. At least we'll die feeling good about ourselves. It doesn't matter that the Iraqis will kick Al-Qaeda out, since they hate them more than they hate us, we should stay until we all die.

In fact, George Washington was a wimp. He should have stayed in New York City in 1776, gotten the Continental Army destroyed, and lost the war. Because then we could feel good about ourselves, and we'd all be speaking English today.

11. Just checked Boehner's bio: no mention of service to the USA - he's a CHICKENHAWK
Another flipping BIG MOUTH republcion chickenhawk.

Shame on them. Sending OUR sons and daughters off to die. Hiding under the bed like Commander AWOL, Dickie 'Five Military Deferments' Cheney, Rush 'Anal Pimple' Limbaugh, Bill "Wimpout O'Reilly," Sean 'Can't Mess My Gucci Loafers' Hannity, and all the rest of them.

Shame on these Big Mouth Republicon War Mongering Chickenhawks.

Why can't they just stick to shooting their mouths off about their 'superior' republicon morality? And the ecstascy of poo-poo sex in diapers - stuff they KNOW about?

I think he will regret saying that. Check out some of the posts on ABC re this story-- that word (and the attitude that went with it) has gotten a lot of people MAD!

I'm glad to see so many Americans are finally starting to smell the stench of this rotting corpse called a "war"; actually, the foul odor isn't coming from Iraq, it's coming from the White House, where Bush & Cheney and Co. have created a Soprano's-style form of government - abusing power, bullying and manipulating public officials (Surgeon General, Attorney General, etc) to support the Republican agenda, lying to Congress and the American people, claiming "executive privilege" to avoid self-incrimination, commuting a lackey's prison sentence, and the list goes on and on.

Seems to me, those like Rep Boehner who are trying to hold the line in Bush's war policy, their biggest issue is "We gotta win! Don't want to look 'weak'!" When will these guys grow up and realize it takes more strength and character to admit "we were wrong, and we're sorry" than it does to call those who do "wimps."

Seems like the GOP does'nt get it. Vote them out. They are representing Bush & Cheney and not THE PEOPLE. We'll give them a lesson on how the system works. Vote them out.

Aren't the people on Capitol Hill representatives of the people? If 70% of American people want to end the war in Iraq, what's the argument and why do the 30% still have their jobs?

These GOP senators are the Bush rubber stampers that have kept this war going, year after year, long after the whole thing was known to be a fiasco based on lies. These arrogant senators need to be removed by the voters. This is the very core of our corrupted government, a core that has nothing but contempt for ordinary Americans.

Mr. Boehner, I'm from Ohio. Listen to the echo from the word "wimp". It sounds just like a career coming to an end!

What John Boehner is saying is, "The GOP is more important than the desires of the Majority Citizenry". These guys are psychotic with Power. The don't care about America or Americans - only themselves. They have such psychotic hate for Democrats they they will screw every American with a son or daughter in Harm's Way just to get at the Democrats. These guys are servants of Evil.
