Dear Republican Senators and Joe Lieberman

While you were playing political games yesterday, DOD added 8 more US Soldiers to the
Death List !!
3,101 have died while you sit there. You could probably snap your
fingers every minute and another Iraqi will have died ! The blood is on your hands !!

BUSH WITH AMPUTEE. NOW AT LEAST 500 AMPUTEES!

2. But, as a LTTE in yesterday's Atlanta Constitution
told us, those deaths are inconsequential because more people die in traffic accidents every year. So, stop your bitchin'.
Yes. That's the new talking point from the right. You know. Those people who really, really "support the troops." Casualties are no big deal. Cause there are so many other ways to die. Now, get over it and support the president.
And the troops, unless they die or get injured. Cause that's no big deal.

6. Dear fellow DU'ers. While YOU Were Bullshitting
Snickers ads, crazy astronauts, and such are seperating us from the number one message. END THE WAR.

The Senate and House are bogged down in debating votes on nonbinding resolutions about an escalation that HAS ALREADY BEGUN.

THE IRANIAN WAR IS COMING. We now have carrier groups in the region and we are trying to pick a fight with them by kidnapping their diplomats and accusing them of attacking us.

Bush's puppet Blair is under such attack at home for illegal dealings that are threatening to run him out of office that he has had to scare eveyone with two little letter bombs over the past few days along with a "story" about terrorists kidnapping a soldier to cut his head off. None of their recent terror arrests has led to the conviction of anyone. It's all propaganda.

Keep living your life, enjoy the distractions, but dont blame me when you wake up soon to see a nuclear war and the downfall of life as we know it.

Call me crazy, flame me, but at least wake up and think for yourself.

8. I agree with you 100% - but, as an individual, what can you do.
We call our reps/senators - mine are repukes or dems who are ok with the war. The email message system now does not allow you to write anyone else.

We protest. Tens of thousands in DC. Did not even register a blip on Asshat's radar.

We vote. We probably needed 60 in the senate or 62 (to cover Johnson and JoeMoe)

We write the press. Many of them are screaming foul now too - to no avail.

I am so serious -- what in the hell can we do?

14. my letter...should be printed Thursday
An open letter to Republican Senators:
While you were playing political games with a non-binding resolution,8 more servicemen were killed-bringing the total of servicemen killed to 3101.I hold you responsible for their deaths. While you bickered, more servicemen were maimed and wounded, bringing the number of amputees to over 500.I hold you responsible for their disability. While you refused to go on the record with your opinion-and the opinions of your constituents-more families received that late night phone call or that knock on the door, confirming what a parent fears most.I hold you personally responsible for the grief these families endure-so that you can do more posturing for the camera. While you stalled and wasted my tax dollars, thousands of soldiers and Marines are looking at their third and fourth tour in a war zone, many of them staring down a bottle or the barrel of a gun.I hold you responsible for the trauma they will endure for years to come-trauma you,who have never served, will never know. While you stalled and hemmed and hawed, thousands of innocent Iraqi men, women and children were killed and wounded.I hold you responsible for the hatred that ALL Iraqis now have for America. The results of the 2006 elections have given you a mandate,Republicans.Your constituents do not want this insane war.We are tired of seeing our troops abused for your political and financial gain.2008 will be here soon enough.Do the right thing for once in your political career. It's what We the People elected you for.

16. Don't worry
The Democrats have a plan. It's to get Hillary Clinton elected and then she will end the war. She said so herself. Trust her. Also Dkos said the same thing. Apparently we must put faith in 2008 while they do the usual political posturing now. Yes, I do hold the Democrats AND the Republicans responsible. I'm sick of games. I don't trust these charlatans at all.
