After viewing the alternate endings to the Snickers ad...
I would like to say that the one where one guy hits the other guy with a wrench and then gets slammed under the hood was pretty disturbing. So was the one where the third guy walks up and asks if there's room for a third... So were about half of the player reactions (I don't think the ones who just laughed were in the wrong, they were laughing at something that was intended, I guess, to be funny).

My personal apologies to those of you who have been pointing this out - wish I had taken the time to view the entire thing earlier than now.

5. They are still on YouTube --
Search:

Snickers wrench
Snickers love boat
Snickers players
Snickers motor oil

And you should be able to get them.

6. No thanks necessary --
I should thank you - it was one of your posts that prompted me to seek it out.

10. what bothers me more than the commercial, (and i do find the wrench part damned
disturbing, i have to say) is how eager some people here are to tell others to "get over it" and these same people are inevitably painting themselves as victims unfairly labeled homophobes. i don't think homophobes always fits, professional asshole muckraker teenage agent provacateur wannabe seems more like it. but gosh, they shroud themselves in self righteousness, so much do they cling to their "right" to say anything to anybody at any time (free speech) and not ever be called on or have it described as what it is when it;s sexist or homophobic.
it's just a joke, get over it= STFU, i decide what's acceptable here
whatever happened to listening, learning and respecting? why is anyone proud to be part of such immature discourse? i am truly embarrassed for some DUers today. I have no idea why they are here, except to poke at people.

8. Very nicely put...
Rare is it that people take the time to go back and really look at something again. I applaud you for that.

12. I just saw the first one just now....
I made the same kind of "ewwww" face the football players made, but then I realized why... because I found both of the men to be repulsive. I didn't get all squeemish watching Brokeback Mountain!

I don't think I would call that ONE commerical offensive because I think it was making fun of the men for their reactions. But I have not seen the others yet, and they sound quite a bit worse, so I don't think I want to see them!
