1. The Cheney stuff has been in the papers for a week. It's not an 'either/or'. nt

3. It didn't get wall to wall coverage like this...
and it was marketed as a political interest story.

4. If cheney had only had sex with a CIA agent, we could have nailed him.
It's absolutely goddam frustrating as hell. We won the election, but the thugs still own the media.

7. I was just thinking the same thing
While the story does involve an astronaut, that's just about the only fact that would make this a national story. This belongs on the cover of the National Enquirer. The Cheney leak story gets a few news articles here and there and has about 5 minutes of commentary on shows like Hardball and Olbermann. But I've seen very little of it reported on CNN or MSNBC in their regular news reporting. The Plame matter is a gigantic story that has definitely been under reported by our media, while there always seems to be a trashy and sensationalist story constantly being dug out that blots out almost everything else, like this story and the other one now getting constant play, the one about Jeffrey Dahmer possibly having killed a kid. Too bad Scooter Libby didn't try to kill his lover while discussing Valerie Plame, as that might have propelled the story to the top of the headlines on TV news.

8. Ah, but you forgot the finer points of the astronut (sp. on purpose) story
It's a CATFIGHT between WOMEN and they're WHITE!

SEX, SPACE, GOVERNMENT, WOMEN, SEX, WOMEN, SEX, WOMEN, oh yeah, AND SPACE AND SEX!

Reads like a Sci-Fi wet dream.

9. and the diaper
The diaper seems to be mentioned quite frequently on the news and would appear to be a major dramatic element in the pathos and tumult of this saga.

12. Not as interesting as Miss USA getting drunk, table dancing and swapping spit with MissTeenUSA...
but still pretty good.

On the Stephanie Miller show they made jokes about her having explosive birdseed in the car.
