the number was when you started this? I hate to admit, that the carnage has gotten so abstract. The 2000 mark was my last real awareness of what all those deaths look like. I was going to a vigil and wanted to print out the names so I could add them to a sign I was making. I could barely fit on my poster the deaths from just my state. It is so sad that it is still happening, but sadder yet that the reality of all those deaths is so far removed from my consciousness.
