1. I still have the concern that full Dictatorship will take place before
he is gone. All it will take is something that Bush deems it necessary to call Martial law... Very scary stuff.

... would do it. But I think Gonzo is hill bush will die for.

It seems that the U.S. Attorneys were Karl Rove's button men
for political operations .... can bush let that cat out of the bag?

3. I don't see it happening
I wish it would -- but don't see it.

We've got Arlen flapping his jaw, but he's basically a do-nothing. We still have the few Republicans on this group obstructing by changing the subject, and we have Gonzo with his politically induced OCD *I cannot recall* mantra. Nothing short of Gonzo walking up to Senator Kennedy and shooting him in the face in front of the cameras is going to move the obstructionist republicans to do ANYTHING.

Gonzo is that silly little case of herpes the republicans refuse to admit having.

4. I don't know - certainly he's a dope
But I'm not sure if the Bushies can afford to cut him loose.

I'm not saying they wouldn't throw him over board to save themselves, of course they would do that- I'm just saying I don't know if they can, at this point.

5. I dont think so
they wont impeach him, and * wont fire him. He'd rather leave Gonzo in place, no matter how bad it looks, than suffer through confirmation hearings for whomever might replace him.

8. You're more optimistic than I.
It's been quite clear that Alberto Gonzalez is a corrupt yes man for some time now. The only way he's going away is if he's impeached.

11. I hate thinking this but...
I am worried that AGAG is going to resign when the Congress goes on vacation in August and shrub will use a recess appointment to appoint some other loyal bushie. The new AG is going to have to "get up to speed" for a few months before s/he can testify, further running out the clock, like when a defendant changes lawyers.

I am also worried that there may be other obnoxious recess appointments, and I am thinking that there should be no more vacations for Congress until these criminals are out of office.

12. Yeah!!!!!
Because if Gonzo is gone, Bush is gone. They are a "team". You can't run the rule of law into the ground without your gardener.
