Texas Governor Rick Perry, R-TX has proposed selling the Texas Lottery for 14 billion and using $2.7 billion to insure uninsured Texans, using $3 billion to fund cancer research. No word on where the other $8.3 billion would go.

1. WOW! That Governor Perry has been acting strangely lately...
first the HPV vaccine and now this.

Of course, he's probably figuring out a way to swindle Texas and this is a slight of hand trick to help him.

5. R's are trying that here, too.
Our D Gov. says "That's a one time fix for a problem that's not one time." She's fighting it.

6. Texas Lottery is way dirty anyway
It's all tied up in Harriet Miers and TANG Judge and I don't remember what all. It's run by some private gambling company, $14 billion is probably dirt cheap for what it could bring in if it didn't have state regulations.
