Where do you start to investigate $12 billion missing dollars ??
I think Bremer is a good start. Find out whose hands the money went thru. No doubt, most would never be found. However, it appears to this common citizen that this may be the largest heist in world history. Three-hundred and sixty three tons of money! Surely there was some paperwork that followed these pallets? It's not as if they were pallets of flour.

It's time for a couple of special investigators - not just one. This investigation is too big for just one person. Congress should request that Mr Bush appoint an group of investigators immediately. Of course, he will refuse. But the public must be made aware of this huge crime. Twelve billion dollars. Twelve thousand millions of dollars. Where did it go??

1. A heist this BIG is ALMOST unimaginable till 'WE' remember.........
WHO 'thought' THEY pulled it off. The somebodies that approved THIS unbelievable money sham should be wearing orange jumpsuits and having their mail forwarded to their new residence in Gitmo, Cuba.

hard to tell the difference without the proper equipment - magical CSI cotton-swabs.

Lot's of people playing Monopoly. Why did the FED stop publishing the, I think, M3 report - the one that stats-out the $$ hot of the press and into the game????

5. Step 1 - find out that "third world bookkeeping" would have kept VERY GOOD track of the money..
That talking point that because they didn't have computers and Quicken in the field they couldn't keep track of the money is just so much bullshit.

They kept track of transactions before they invented PAPER...

10. Bremer says he just misplaced it in his other pants.......
the money is not MISSING, it was STOLEN. Not stolen from Bremer but stolen by the US Government from taxpayers to enrich their already rich friends.

11. I recall a report in the New York Times, when the first couple of $Billion was
flown to Baghdad.

The article reported, $8 Hundred Thousand was immediately
flown out of Iraq, destination unspecified.

Included in this NYT article,
A spokesperson for the U.S. appointed Iraq government
stated: 'The $800,000 was to be used for the purchase
of military equipment'.

14. If you are a repub - you look away and then scream about the UN
and "food for oil" funds. Look, look... over there *pointing*

Seriously, I think Bremer is a good place to start.

TPMMuckraker btw just reported about a secret CIA contract (from Foggo) that went to Wilkes for bottled water. Decided to stop using an Iraqi company (lets just make more unemployed Iraqis...) in favor of a US firm - owned by a buddy.
