Matthews "Got Excited" & Cursed On Imus

Chris Matthews got excited and used the F word on MSNBC this morning.

At 7:45am, he said: "We love good mayors because we love our cities and Giuliani's the city guy. I'm so sick of southern guys with ranches running this country. I want a guy to run for president who doesn't have a fucking -- I'm sorry -- a ranch. Wouldn't that be good, a guy who wasn't on the ranch during Katrina, he was on the street corner answering questions ."

Imus asked his producers if they bleeped it. It was caught on the radio, but not on MSNBC.

"I think I got half the syllable in there, I think," Matthews said.

Imus replied: "What were you swearing for?"

"I don't know," Matthews said sheepishly. "I got excited."

18. Tweety needs to get back in Rehab
Remember when he was out for about 2 weeks, not much mention of the reason .

Right before that he was way off his Meds IMO and his mouth and his mind change like the wind.

He is not my favorite at all but delighted that he ragged on the Chimp.

PS/ Didn't Imus, who also blows like the wind, change his love for McCain and then switch over to kiss up to Rudy"who moved his mistress into the Gov. House and put his wife and kids out" G?

25. It's amazing he never mentions diabetes.....one does wonder
if that could be a coverup for him needing to check in for some rehab.

26. Maybe the diabetes makes him act like he drinks too much

He slurs his words.

Acts erratic and displays other symptoms of heavy drinking in my opinion.

Does he have diabetes, maybe?

12. Imus' ranch is for kids with cancer
to enjoy a dude ranch. So it has a purpose - not like Bush's ranch.

4. This time, I agree with Matthews.
Katrina exposed Bush as a disconnected moron, if anyone doubted it up to that point.

Maybe it isn't the ranch that's the problem, but the moron who clears brush on it.

24. So do I, but it's important (imho) to realize Tweety loves the GAME and is not an ideologue.
Edited on Wed Feb-07-07 01:51 PM by TahitiNut
Folks keep expressing 'agreement' or 'disagreementgust' with Tweety's spewages. It took me a while, but I think folks miss the point. Tweety's in it for the game - the tactics, push, pull, smear, and snark - and only looks at whether it 'works' or doesn't. He takes on an almost amoral/atheistic perspective, often expressing admiration for a "balls-to-the-wall" assault or a head-fake that 'succeeds.' He's not much interested in the Marquis of Queensbury's rules ... he enjoys street-fighting. So, I don't see him as a loyalist in any camp. He likes the fight itself.

When he talks about 'ranches' he's obviously referring to Our Leader's pigshit pasture in Crawford and Addled Ronnie's horseshit collection in Santa Barbara. As a self-proclaimed "city boy," Tweety prefers Urban Warfare and regards people who retreat to their ranches as "sissy-boy" cowards. I can only imagine Tweety being VERY uncomfortable at Jimmy Carter's peanut farm.

6. Then why the hell does Chris keep saying he believes
Bush is such a nice guy. He is a mouthpiece for him. Tweety, tweety, tweety. Good grief. He never knows what side of the fence to go sit on.

7. I hated Matthew's "sunny nobility" comment about the chimp, but
it does give me pleasure that his comments on Hardball were making Cheney squirm!

27. Yes - it made my opinion of him go up after hearing that he was P.O.ing BushCo.
It sounded like he was a real thorn in their side. The problem is that he's a thron in our side a lot too.

Edited on Wed Feb-07-07 10:03 AM by DrunkenMaster
Didn't he used to gush over Bush's leaderly "glow" all the time?

He's a cheerleader for the Reich.

16. They danced around that and I think Mathews was prepared to talk about it
but suddenly Imus turned the subject to beauty pageants. It was frustrating, but like you said, "hard hitting (cough)" it is not. Even though Imus protests with much fury, he knows who signs his checks, and NBC isn't about to allow him to hang out too much of their dirty laundry.

21. What happened to Tweety's man crush on * in his jeans
Seems to me he was enthralled with the whole ranch thing at one time. Now he's sick of ranches. Go figure. Now he's hot for Rudy and Judi in The Hamptons.

22. Some people can't see the forest for the trees, Matthews can't
see the tree for the knothole. The knothole is all he thinks about and what he lives for. Owning a ranch or being from the South, not that Bush was ever from the South, he just played it on television, has zilch to do with compassion or competence.
