5. Democrats do tend to beat up and knock down their own candidates,
then they try and stand them up for election. Republicans then get to use the provided ammunition against the Democratic candidate in the election.

12. Did I misjudge you?
It seemed before that you might be interested in trying to reach consensus, and building that up for the advancement of all our common goals.

With your wording in this thread, and your use of it rather than just starting threads about those articles which you seem to care to draw attention to, it seems that perhaps I was wrong.

Care to clarify?

14. I'm moving on from the back and forth about the process in Congress
If you've followed my posts in the past two days, I've been trying to explain to folks about the obstacles and obstruction which are keeping our party from achieving a quick legislative remedy in response to Bush's militarism. I'm done, for now. Moving on.

Two days of this redqueen. I've got scars. I'm tired.

I hope you get some of that energy back soon.

Maybe this might help cheer you up a bit. I know it worked for me.

Thanks for these links too, btw... but I really do think they deserve their own threads. If you ever have something like that that is sinking, please do feel free to PM me and I will help you to keep it kicked... help increase the signal to noise ratio a bit around here.

Peace.

8. With regard to the deeping GOP hole
That article is spot on. I think the Dems are going to sweep the next election like a tsunami. If the GOP lives through it, it will be a miracle. Why? Because these jerks are so friggen arogantly delusional they don't give a shit what the voters want. They forget who they work for.

9. I can't imagine the republican party supporting an Iraq occupation
just 20 years ago when their slogan was 'Amurika first'. But, what else do they have but to cling to the illusion that they're some kind of super saviors of the world behind the sacrifices of our troops. It's all they have left.

16. uuuhhmmm
bush, Cheney, Libby, republicans in general, specific republicans in congress, etc. are bashed daily. Are you speaking of criticizing some dems on not being aggressive enough with the bush defacto dictatorship or their policies?

20. If they become relevant to the resolution of an issue, I'm all over them
but, it is the republican opposition which is the most relevant obstacle now to removing our troops from Iraq, in my view.

21. All I ask is don't dismiss true frustration, disagreement and legitimate
criticism with bashing democrats. I know the republicans are the biggest obstacle. But there have been prowar dems and there have been some that triangulate to the point of not serving the cause of removal from the battlefield.
