Edwards agrees with Obama on Pakistan
NBC's Lauren Appelbaum reports that Edwards, on the other hand, agreed with Obama, though admitted he didn't watch the speech or see a transcript.

"My belief is that we have a responsibility to find bin Laden and al Qaeda wherever they operate," Edwards said on camera. "I think we need to maximize pressure on Musharraf and the Pakistani government. If they can't do the job, then we have to do it."

1. No replies ?
People were trashing Obama but now we find that other candidates would adopt the same policy.

2. New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, in a telephone interview,
said Obama's threat, if acted upon, could inflame the entire Muslim world. "My international experience tells me that we should address this issue with tough diplomacy first with Musharraf and then leave the military option as a last resort," he said.

3. I saw a post yesterday that said Obama is out and Edwards takes his spot
Because of this. I wonder if they still feel the same way.

4. So...
Edwards advocates covert operations, military operations and tactical strikes on a sovereign nation, whether or not that sovereign nation approves of our action. Edwards would put American military boots in a nation that did not ask for them.

I am not impressed.

10. I wasn't "trashing" anybody... that's useless anyway, and not in our best interest.
(Although I certainly have nothing supportive to say about Hillary).

However, I *am* an Edwwards supporter, so I"ll walk into this, and see if you use it to trash me.

I'm for Edwards because he's the only one actively working for folks like me! This time I'm voting in my own special interest!

I would be disappointed if he would be in favor of *any* other invasion.

However, it doesn't change the fact that he is mostly working on poverty issues, and is the only one doing so. If you want us to consider *your* favorite candidate, then, by all means, lobby them to speak out strongly on poverty, and come up with strong and workable plans! It would be nice to have a choice.

I also think Edwards is listening, and is flexible on things like health care and military. HE LISTENS, where others don't.

OK, that's my opinion. Is this what you wanted?

11. Actually it wasn't
You guys are so sensitive that you don't always read the entire statement. What did I post?

Edwards supporters who trashed Obama.

Do you fit into that category? According to your response that would qualify as a no. That being said, my post didn't apply to you.

I think you just want to go back and forth with the reciprocal trashing. That appears to be quite common here and it's so unfortunate.

12. Wow... talk about "sensitive"
You were pitching for a fight.

You found one, even if you had to make it up.

I'm strongly guessing you aren't getting many replies because people can see your agenda.

I gave you an honest answer about being disappointed if that's what Edwards is going for, but you went for the fight.

I bet you're just salivating about the upcoming primaries, aren't you?

Bye.... have fun with that tearing the party apart... I want nothing to do with that.

14. I wonder if we're reading the same post
I guess not.

Now, why would I be salivating about the upcoming primaries?

Tearing the party apart, oh please? No, there are plenty doing that here. If you have read my prior posts you would know that.

I don't really care about getting responses. My question was for a specific group and it was a valid question.

There were 2 other replies in this thread that didn't preface it as you did. They gave their opinion without a reponse like yours.

No biggie, just funny as hell.

7. Depends what he means by maximize pressure
This comment is too general a comment to know if he agrees with the specifics of what Obama said, particularly since Edwards admitted that he had not watched the speech or seen a transcript.

Too many layers of unknowns here still to know how much Edwards agrees with Obama.
He could agree completely on every level but this is not clear from this small report.
