An Idea For Iraq (And The Budget)

Iraq is a mess. No denying it.

If we leave, it will just degenerate into further chaos. I doubt the leaders have the wisdom and courage to pull it all together. If we stay, our men and women are caught in the cross fire of the civil war. And, our deficit continues to grow, or necessary domestic programs are cut.

So, here's an idea. We bring home nearly ALL of our armed forces. We give Maliki the numbers for Blackwater and Halliburton. We tell him - You want security...you pay for it.

It will free up a lot of our money. As for the men and women who are sent over there to perform dangerous duty, at least they know what they're getting into, and getting compensated handsomly (although I personally don't think any compensation is worth your life). It's better then sending some poor grunt trying to get money for college who thought it would be one weekend a month and one week in summer but has been in Iraq for two years.
