Cool job working for NC Democratic Party

Director of Internet Communications

The Director of Internet Communications, working under the Director of Communications and Research, will be responsible for managing and expanding the State Party’s Internet presence.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Managing and updating the State Party’s website;

· Planning and implementing a program for aggressively harvesting new email addresses of targeted Democrats and Democratic allies;

· Planning and implementing an Internet based fundraising campaign;

· Representing the State Party in the blogosphere;

· Working with local parties, Democratic elected officials, and Democratic nominees to assist them in web development;

· Working with local parties, Democratic elected officials, and Democratic nominees to assist them in expanding their use of email as a technique for internal and external communications;

· Assisting in the administration of the State Party’s online voter file; and

· Assisting in list maintenance for the State Party.

The Director of Internet Communications will work in Raleigh at the headquarters of the North Carolina Democratic Party. The position is budgeted to begin on March 2, 2007. Candidates for the position should have proven experience with web development and design, with campaign experience preferred.

I can do research, editing and writing, as well as some DB stuff.
