Tweety's "outraged" by the Libby Trial info...
Typical Tweety Twittering: He's mad as hell, and he's not gonna take it anymore.

He's really having a day: First on Imus he uses the F word and then tates that the country needs 'a little fascism'. Now he's talking about his 'friend' Russert, whom he apparrently can't stand, with Fineman, who said that Tim is among the most trusted people in the US.

Now we're really in trouble.

"Danger, danger, Will Robinson!!"

David Schuster and Isikoff are doing and great job stitching together the facts. I'm paying lots of attention to grasp everything. There's a lot of fast talking on everyone's part. Schuster is going like an electric typewriter.

I'm getting a kick out of Tweety trying his best to get back at "chee-knee" with this broadcast. I can see the veep popping heart pills like M&Ms for the next 40 mintues.

8. Schuster is speed-talking to get his info out! But in actuality (IMHO, hee),
it is the reverse of what they are declaiming, to wit: the "outing" of VP was not to get back at Niger-Report JW; rather, N-R JW was a SMOKE-SCREEN to obfuscate the deliberate destruction of a covert CIA operation that was headed by VP and dedicated to tracking WMD's and illegal arms sales (Read: Halliburton and erstwhile CEO Cheney).

17. Yep. But the objectives were consistent: Shut Down Dissent
Cheney requires all subordinates (which is EVERYONE in the Executive Branch, including CIA and military, to toe the line as HE draws it. He does NOT tolerate anyone pushing back. He was after Plame/BJA since the AQ Khan debacle surfaced. Plame/BJA was a burr under the saddle of the warhorse on its way to Iraq and Iran. Plame/BJA was coming up with REAL humint that was contrary to the Neocon/PNAC FICTIONS that built the fabricated case for war.

37. Yeah, Tweets is simply remarkable (sarcasm):
He insists on calling Cheney (Chay-nee), ChEE-ney, because he claims that was the original pronunciation of the Dick's name.

Then, without missing a beat, he catapults the pronunciation by saying NIGH-ger, instead of Nee-zher for Niger, the country in Africa.

He's SOOO ...COOOOL ... doncha' know?

29. actually, there was a serious debate about the need for fascism in the country under FDR
I'm not sure FDR took a position on this, mind you, I'm just saying people wondered if democracy could work in troubled times...like the depression.

Too bad Tweety doesn't know enough about American history to realize if we can survive a civil war and a depression and still retain our rights in a democracy, we can survive a misadventure like the Bush administration without making Rudy king.

(What is it with him and "strong" men? During the Miss America thing he talked constantly about women being pretty and liking the bathing suit contest and the contest itself. I thought he'd never let us forget he was a judge of pretty women. I wonder if he protestest too much with all this manly talk.)

10. Russert "trusted?" Can he pry his tongue from Limbaugh's ass?
The only "mainstream" media interview Limbaugh has done in years has been with Tim Russert, and Russert did not challenge the Walking Pilodinal Cyst even once. No wonder Cheney loves them both.

19. Russert Delivers The Coup De Grace
Edited on Wed Feb-07-07 07:44 PM by KharmaTrain
Hands down, Schuster has had the best coverage of this story...the rest are playing the "I knew that all along game". There are no "good guys" in this mess (other than Joe Wilson) and we're seeing a strutting of the egos here as Tweety gloats over his own self-importance and feigning indignation on how his show was used to pass along misinformation (like he really didn't know???). Tweety's "finding religion" either shows how stupid/naive he is or disengenuous.

The real tale here is how Fitzgerald has now put the noose firmly around Libby's neck. The airing of the GJ testimony all but negates Libby's credibility (as Schuster was pointing out) and then in plops in Russert who closes off Scooter's loophole. How Welles and Jeffress will attempt to spin this next week will be a magic act worthy of a Vegas floor show.

The real bombshell here is, for the first time, we're hearing discussion that Fitzgerald, now with the sand removed from the umpire's eyes, may squeeze Scooter and go after crashcart. I've only dreamt of such a scenario.

I'd get a lot of attention too if I walked into my dental office and said the word 'Fuck' in the waiting rooom, went into the back and said, 'I need to hurt each patient a little bit today' in order to prove my manhood, and then sat back and pontificated on how great I am.

27. W/all due respect:
that's not my point. The point is that Tweety has turned on a dime and is pretending that no one saw thru these lies early on. My contention is that he's a lying fart - there were millions and millions of Americans who didn't buy this BS for an instant. He invalidates them by acting surprised that this shit wasn't true. He's a disingenuous sack of shit.

Glad you're enjoying the show, though.

31. OK
We've had about 600 threads debating this issue. M contention is that :

1. Tweety had 6 pro-war types on for every 1 'peacenik'

2. Tweety would mercilessly beat the shit outa the anti-war guy

3. Tweety would then profess slight cynicism for the case for war at the end of the show

Thus, he was playing both ends against the middle.

He's a putz, Q.E.D.
