Women thrown out of (New Zealand) bar for dance floor kiss
A Christchurch couple enjoying a night out at a central city bar are outraged that a kiss on the dance floor got them thrown out – apparently because both are women.

Barista Lydia Boyd, who is bisexual, said she was kissing her date on the dance floor of the Grumpy Mole Saloon on Saturday night when they were approached by a bouncer.

"He told us that if we were going to do that we had to 'get the f... out'," she said.

Boyd, 18, who was on a first date with her friend, said she was certain the man's reaction was because they were women.

1. A smart bouncer would have started charging the other patrons $5 to watch

2. That story made our local paper
I have no idea what the bouncer was thinking, chch is full of nightclubs and bars that have no problem with that, and that bar has a reputation also, I guess the bouncer was new.

3. Strange - many American nightclubs quietly ENCOURAGE lesbian sensuality

That's what got Katie Rees, the former Miss Nevada, in such big trouble with the pageant - photos surfaced of her and her girlfriends not only flashing themselves, but also performing (or at least simulating) sex acts on each other at some nightclub.

The first time I learned about this sort of thing at clubs, I was driving through the Dallas suburb of Addison, which has a huge amount of restaurants on its main drag. I was minding my own business, occasionally glancing at the folks enjoying supper under the stars, when I passed this restaurant and saw two women on the patio engaged in...well, uh, how do I put it tastefully so the admins don't smack me...tribadism. Both were fully clothed, but there you go. And the guys on the patio apparently thought this was the greatest thing ever. I expected the vice squad to descend upon the restaurant at any minute, so I just headed down the road and kept minding my own business. Then again, this was probably around the time Girls Gone Wild started surfacing for all I know.
