Canadian province may begin vaccinating girls for HPV this year....
http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-columbia/story/2007/08/07/bc-hpvvaccines.html

"Girls in B.C. elementary schools could begin receiving the controversial HPV vaccine as soon as the coming school year."

What do ya think?

1. That can only mean sex will be rampant in B.C next year.
I know it's true. I heard it on Christian radio.

2. Is it mandatory?
I think the drug is conceptually a great idea, but I like to have my drugs tested till the cows come home and then tested some more. I hope the news in about 10 years is not about some nasty side effects developing because of the vaccine.

4. Well, I don't think they've established that yet
But, this being BC I'm sure parents who want can opt their kids out of it.

6. I don't think this should be a parents decision,
A parent who believes their child is the paradigm of chastity and virtue and ergo doesn't need it might not be fit to make the decision.

7. Good for them. They'll have a lot less cervical cancer and genital warts than we will
here in TX, since our vaccine program got axed.

B.C. girls should feel lucky that someone gives a shit about their health and welfare.

My state has the second highest rate of cervical cancer in the US. Too bad for our women.
