To Dems: Cut the "No Funds Cut" Mantra!
Dear Dems,

Please start putting human life above politics!

Take a stand ! End the war ! Cut the funds, if
that is the only way. Just like Russ says !

Sure, your opponent's campaign ad will take
your vote and skew it against you. But this
is much bigger than you or I. This is life
and death !

Besides, from a political point of view, you
are hurting your chances much more by being
impotent and not stopping this war - which
is why people voted for you last November.

Save a life - cut funds now.

3. It's a bluff and it's a bluff with soldiers lives at the end of it
and even if they started it, the truth is that the Dems would almost certainly blink first.

4. Funny thing about Democratic bluffs. They are too transparent.

The Republicans see through them a mile away and react. They
are so much better at playing the "political" game than we
are.

This, on one hand, is a very good thing. It shows that
our side is sincere and cares and is speaking from the
heart.

On the other hand, we lose every single freakin time (except
when Pelosi got them at their own game and pushed the 100 hr agenda).

The strategy of trying to stay one step ahead of the Reps, however, is sure to backfire and as you so rightly say - lives are in the balance.

5. I mean bush himself has already cut the troop funding...
or am I just reading his budget wrong? Maybe it's not that he's cutting funding for the troops in Iraq, but the lack of spending reflects his timetable for pulling the troops out by 2009.

6. Damn Right!
If they won't even allow debate over a non-binding resolution then there is no other choice but to cut off funding.
I feel the same way about the 2008 elections. If the Dem's don't show some backbone then I won't be able to find my checkbook in 2008.
