Now bush has ruined a part of sports for me too

I am a die hard baseball fan. (A Mets fan for a very long time.) They have a kid who plays third base named David Wright who exemplifies an old school mold of baseball I love. I followed this kid from the day he signed with the Mets. I bought my newborn son a David Wright rookie card 3 years ago.
Than the lying, murderous pig bush invited Wright and others to the White House and I am sick to my stomach.

My respect for Wright is almost zero now. What a stupid, ignorant young man. He should have said no thanks, I'm not going.
I can't wait until bush is impeached.

1. I've had to accept the sad fact that most of my favorite sports people
are republicans.

I know a lot of Met fans are going to sickened by this tho.

3. They should be Repubs because they're overpaid and that's who the GOP helps.

4. I don't get it. You judge someone's baseball based on their politics?
Sorry, but that's bizarre.

5. Why are you allowing Bushboy to exert this much control over your life?
So Wright attended a WH dinner, does it mean he supports the president? Maybe, maybe not, but if you look at the wording you will see that Wright isn't referring to Bush, but to the positions and offices. "Leader of the free world, tour of the Oval Office, First Lady, White House." Not a mention of Bush by name, but simple references to the generic labels.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the overwhelming majority of people, and you probably won't get another chance. Frankly, if I were presented with such an opportunity, yes, I would take it, even if it meant dining with Bushboy. Why? Because of the opportunity to get in depth in the White House, something that few people get to do. Doesn't mean that I might not share a few choice words with the idiot, but I would still go.

This reminds me of the hissy fit people threw over Kuncinich's presidential handshake, how dare the man show respect:eyes: Turns out Kucinich was also giving an earful to Bush about stopping the war too.

There are times when you've got to separate the office of President from the man who occupies it. This is one of those times.

6. Some quotes in that story just totally pissed me off -
"The president was so approachable and knew everything that's going on with the Mets," David said. "The man definitely knows his baseball."

This from the same mofo that can't even be bothered to know the difference between the Sunnis and Shia!!! :grr:

7. What If He Accepted the Invitation…
…and took the opportunity to tell Bush** what a disaster of a pResident he has been?

(If that did happen, do you think the NY Post would tell us?)
