12. Been an interesting week.

On Sunday evening I was part of the crew that helped feed 200 protesters in support of Lt. Watada. What a courageous young man. It is so important to support peoplelike this and get the message out.

In fact,we are having a town hall forum at the same site of the dinner. At First Congreational Church 918 Division Ave in Tacoma, WA on Sat Feb 10 at 1pm US Rep. Adam Smith (D) WA-9 will be with us to discuss the issues of the Iraq War, it's legality, possible de-funding, possible impeachment and the possibility or pobablility of further incursions into other nations.

Last year we had 500 attend and this year are hoping for more. We are wanting to hold his feet to the fire in order to get him on record for de-funding and working for diplomacy rather than agression. Anybody close to Tacoma (with in 100 miles) please consider joining us. There will be a reception following for networking with other activists. Thanks-Mike Collier

20. I'd say he truly has "the courage of his convictions"

..."having the courage of one's convictions" is a phrase that gets thrown-around a lot these days, and is becoming somewhat of a tarnished cliche as a result.

But I'd say when someone is willing to go to prison to uphold a principal - THAT'S courage of conviction. I applaud Lt. Watada for his integrity.

How anyone could think that he isn't a hero is just mind-blowing to me....What could possibly be their reasoning that he "isn't" a hero? The man refused to follow an illegal order...that takes courage, honor and is something that a hero stands for.
