Race Matters.
This is from a post by a friend of mine on New-Worlds.org --

'I am not sure if you all have seen this but….

This is a clip from KOMO-TV. This is the description from the website:

Young student's documentary leaving audiences stunned

Kiri Davis is a young filmmaker whose high school documentary has left audiences at film festivals across the country stunned — and has re-ignited a powerful debate over race.

If you can't open this by double clicking then hold down the control key and click it!'

1. Could you post the gist or a summary for those who are
at work and unable to open this?

Catchy title at any rate.

3. It's heartbreaking
Little black kids being asked to say which doll is the good doll and which is the bad doll. One doll is white and the other is black. The kids choose the white doll as the "good" one and the black one as the "bad" one. Then when asked which doll is more like themselves, the kids reluctantly select the black doll. It is incredibly sad.

4. It's a repeat of a test done in 1954 for Brown vs. Board of Education.
Psychologist Kenneth Clark conducted a test in 1954 for the landmark desegregation case in which black children are shown two dolls, one white, one black. The children are asked which doll they prefer -- they invariably choose the white one.

Kiri Davis, a high-school student with an interest in film-making, revisits the test, with the same results. The heartbreaking moment of her film is when a little black girl is asked which doll is the 'good doll'. She chooses the white doll. Then she's asked which is the 'bad doll' -- and she pushes the black doll forward. Immediately after this, Kiri asks her which doll is most like her -- she moves towards the white doll, and then sadly chooses the black doll.

It's a very painful and important lesson. Kiri Davis makes a powerful point.
