So, this is what they must be doing, editing Wikipedia.

If you go to:

http://wikiscanner.virgil.gr/

And type in "Department of Homeland Security", you will see that it only has two edits.

Wait though, the DHS has another IP range, it's called "Depthomelandsecurity."

And it has a total of 1932 edits.

2. This is SO sick.
The thought of my tax dollars going to this makes my head explode!

The individuals involved should hang their heads in shame!

4. Why does DHS care so much about Joe McCarthy?
Edited on Sat Aug-18-07 06:07 PM by blogslut
?

EDIT ADD: And Caligula and V for Vendetta and the Pied Piper of Hamlin? Odd. Someone at DHS is a serious fiction buff with way too much time on their hands.

the DHS, or more likely, the Bush Administration. Makes me curious to know exactly what they removed. We already know the Bush team chooses staff according to ideological purity, not competence-- that's exactly the sort of person I'd expect to spend their time searching for and removing unflattering comments about der fuher.

9. I saw that too, couldn't stop laughing
Makes me think more that it's just some paper pusher killing time on the internet rather than an evil plot. Someone needs to be fired for inappropriate internet usage as well as for bad taste.

things like "watch list" are more interesting

Grounds for placement on the list vary, and can include persons suspected of criminal activity, such as <[drug smuggling>]; but the most highly-publicized placements have concerned individuals who have been placed on the list for political reasons.

11. Culinary vegetables!

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=prev&oldid=29067227

added: "* <[Vernalator>]"

I've never heard of a vegetable named "Vernalator", nor, it seems, has Google.

After spending a little time looking at the list of 1934 edits, I can understand the comments above regarding a waste of time and money. So many edits were made for fictional stories, either TV shows, novels, even some video games!

This is what Homeland Security IPs are used for?
