3. Oh man Oh man Oh man
I would give about anything to be there. Not going to happen though. Enjoy and report back to us please. PLEASE?

My husband and I went to the Summer of Love exhibit at the Whitney in NYC a few weeks ago. It was so sweet to remember and feel almost back in my youth listening to those sounds and seeing those images. It was almost like a flashback!

Glad to see my old buddy is still able to get around to public appearances

Wow! That's a lot of music to try and get on a stage in only 8 hours!

Wish I could make it, but way too poor

The first of these annual concerts started on 9/11, but a few years before the attacks in NYC.

" The Festival began humbly in 1998 as an international day of art and culture in support of political prisoner Mumia Abu-Jamal. The name and date ”911” were chosen to call attention to the emergency status of Mumia's impending execution and drew roughly 6,000 people to the Mission's Dolores Park. In 2000, PTTP expanded; showing support for all prisoners on death row, and speaking out against the exponential growth of the prison industrial complex."

31. Sounds AMAZING!
Having been here for the original and having vivid memories of it, all I can say is watch out, "colorful" San Francisco is going to be out in droves. :D

I find it especially appropriate it is happening now, in the midst of another war killing innocent people. Talk about an (bad) acid flashback.

I wish to heck I could be there -- I'm up in Tahoe for the weekend working on the house. :(
