Iraq Veterans Against the War confronted Army recruiters at a St Louis expo.

After discovering the 'recruiters' (they were actually contractors) were right across the street from the Veterans for Peace Convention at a job fair, 50 Iraq vets went over to check out their booth and found they were using video games to show kids how much 'fun' the army is. So they planned this action. Watch the video. It is awesome!!

I spent the last 5 days with these vets. They are incredibly courageous and are a wonderful support group for each other. Their organization has grown tremendously in the past 3 years.

When this damn illegal war is over, it will largely be due to the work of IVAW. Check out their website. http://www.ivaw.org/

2. This buch is the new breed of Vets,, I personally commend anything they do
BUT they wouldn't let me JOIN, It's a newer breed they don't want old farts like us anymore,,,,JUST KIDDING,,

Back then, I was pretty screwed up.

And I hated everything.

6. Yes I belong to VVAW, I am 60 and still screwed up, and have
an attitude about everything, I didn't join until '96 because I was a "lifer" that isn't an excuse just that it took me 30yrs to figure out how wrong I really was about everything.

10. It was the same with the VVAW in 71, nobody paid them
any attention,, there are probably a couple of Senators or Congressmen walking around in their midst right now.

11. I forgot to add this part - even better!
The IVAW guys invited the recruiters over to the VFP convention. So they came over and met with the Gold Star families. I heard there weren't many dry eyes at that meeting.
