Convicted (Oklahoma) Murderer To Be Executed Tuesday.
McAlester - A man convicted in the 1987 murder of a pregnant Cleveland County woman is scheduled to be put to death by lethal injection Tuesday night at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester.

Frank Duane Welch was handed a death sentence in 1998, more than eleven years after the murder of 28-year-old Jo Talley Cooper, who was three months pregnant when she was tied up, molested and strangled while her infant son slept in the next room.

Cooper's murder went unsolved for nearly ten years before DNA in the case pointed to Welch, who was in prison for the attempted kidnapping and assault of a woman in a Wal-Mart parking lot in 1997.

KTUL...

1. THAT will prove that killing people is wrong!
I've never been comfortable with the idea that it is not murder when the government kills people.

2. I used to be against capital punishment. That is up until the time
I finally figured out that most of these guys on death row were predators that went for the weak and defenseless and who believed getting their jollies were more important the someone's life. And this guy would surely be a repeat offender. That is, if he wouldn't have finally been caught.

Fry his ass.

3. Actually, he was a repeat offender and a proven predator.
He was in prison when he was caught for the murder.
