I have heard black talk radio here in New Orleans, and the feedback from callers is about how he was railroaded, how they would never go after a white quarterback for the same thing, how the white man fears Vick's success and had to destroy him, how pit bulls are meant for dog fighting, how animal cruelty isn't a crime because God gave us the animals to do with what we want, and on and on and on.

Reminded me of the disgusting denial I witnessed during the OJ trial.

9. As An Animal Lover... Does It REALLY Matter What Race You Are??

There was a time when I would sit and watch "sports" programs with my husband, but in the past 10 to 15 years I've just stopped. Most of them make WAAAAAAAY too much money, and I find it an outrage. Sure there are many good good people connected with various sports, but far too many of the others are ill-prepared, ill-mannered, deceitful, narcissistic and just plain turn-offs!

Between the millions and millions and millions of dollars spent on sports figures, games, politics and wars, it such a shame that some of that money couldn't be spent for so many less fortunate.

As for animals, well don't EVEN get me started, I could go on for days and days... just starting with people who just "have" to have the adorable baby pet only to find out later that you actually HAVE to care for one as it grows up! Then they just drop them off on some street and let them fend for themselves.

However, what Vick was doing seems beyond the pale, even though I'm well aware of many other "sports" that use other animals! I wish they would put him in jail!!

Think about the murderers, drug trafficers, wife beaters, drunk drivers, drug addicts that WILL be playing every Sunday this year. Oddly the only thing that appears to prevent you from playing is testing positive to pot too many times, and possibly being involved in Dog fighting.
